After working for various companies like State Farm Insurance, Blue Cross Blue Sheild and UPS, Sherri joined Assured Protection in 2007 to help her husband Richard run the office. Sherri manages all the bookkeeping, human resources and benefits at the company. She has her Security Guard Clearance and Private Detective Certification.
Ken Shields has more than 13 years of experience in off-duty police security. He comes to Assured-Protection from Tyco Professional Security, where he served as President and CEO. There, Ken was responsible for managing the everyday operations, including client relations and scheduling and payment of officers. Ken currently provides oversight and scheduling of our off-duty Police contracts for Assured Protection.
Additionally, Ken is currently a Baltimore County Police Officer where he serves on the Warrant Squad for Precinct 2 (Woodlawn). Ken has been with BCoPD for over 16 years. He joined the police department as a police cadet in 1999 and graduated from the Baltimore County Police Academy in 2000. In Ken's off time he enjoys golfing and coaching soccer for his two sons.
Laura is a Baltimore native. She spent the majority of her career in the healthcare business working in billing, collections and customer service at Johns Hopkins. In 2019 Laura was promoted to Human Resources. KNown in the office as the glue to our everyday, Laura is well known by our employees for her constant smile and pleasant demeanor in dealing with employee concerns.
Debroy is a proud alumni of Archbishop Curley after highschool he went on to study Business Management at Bowie State University. He then interned at East Baltimore Development under the Director of Operations for 3 years. Debroy joined Assured-Protection in 2014, since then he has worked his way up through the ranks. In 2019 Debroy was promoted to his current position as Human Resources Manager. Go CURLEY!
Terry joined Assured Protection in 2017 as our Accountant. She brings with her a strong background in Accounting, billing and collections as she has many years in both the Public and Private Sector. Terry is responsible for all of our financial responsibilities and has been an integral part of Assured's continued growth and success.
Meta’s passion for connecting with people, forging and growing business relationships and infusing safety into her personal and professional life led her to Assured Protection. She holds a degree in Communications from The University of South Carolina, and most recently honed her skills as an events and marketing lead in Baltimore at the world’s premier gaming company. A Maryland native, she’s a team player, holding leadership positions on the lacrosse field and the golf course. Meta is on a mission to develop businesses, both large and small, to keep companies and their employees and patrons safe and sound.
Richard established Assured Protection in 2005. Utilizing his experiences in the US Army and the Baltimore Police Department, Richard's main goal was to mentor Assured's employees. Drawing on his past experiences and drive to succeed, he constantly strives to enstill the positive tenants of a hard work ethic. His goal is and always has been simple " PROVIDE RELIABLE, COMPETENT, TRAINED, AND PROFESSIONAL ASSET SECURITY SPECIALISTS.
In looking to the future in 2021, Richard has added to our daily operations team. He is there to support the CEO, Kyle Pollock and Vice President of Operations, Jay Kuhn.
